Races for July 17

There are two 5K races Saturday, July 17 to satisfy runners in either west Kentucky or middle Tennessee. One is the annual Fred Paxton Fund Run for Charities 5K run/walk and 1-Mile Fun Run at Noble Park in Paducah, Ky. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., with the fun run at 9. The second run is the Race Across the Spectrum 5K Run/Walk for Autism, beginning at 7 a.m. at Crockett Park in Brentwood, Tenn. Registration forms for both races are on this website under “Race Forms.”

There are two other events to mention. The Tennessee Cross Country Camp (co-ed grades 7-12) begins July 17 and continues through July 22 in Woodlawn, Tenn. Visit http://www.tncrosscountrycamp.com for more information. And for the cyclists in the group, the annual Ride Across Indiana (RAIN) 160-mile bike ride in Bloomington, Ind., also is Saturday, but you will need to check if entries are being accepted still. The website is http://www.rainride.org/.

If anyone has any other past or future race or event information to share, please feel free to let me know, and I can pass it along to others and post it on the website.
