Ronnie Dunn, whom many of us in west Kentucky consider him an elite runner, made the lottery cut — for the second consecutive year — for the popular St. George Marathon to be held Oct. 2 in St. George, Utah. This event opens a limited number of slots to runners after the invited and guaranteed runners are confirmed. Because of the overwhelming response race organizers receive as evidenced by the large number of applications, a lottery has to be used to select randomly other runners. Ronnie also made the cut in 2009. He most likely will begin training this summer for the marathon. Congratulations, Ronnie!
